FAQs

What inspired Evening en Blanc?

Evening en Blanc was inspired by the elegant pop-up picnic held originally in Paris, and now hosted in outdoor public spaces in cities that span from London to Milan, Dubai, Tokyo, New York City and San Francisco.

Is This Event a True “Diner en Blanc?”

While Evening en Blanc was inspired by the beauty and spectacle of the “Diner en Blanc” events held all over the world, it is not organized by “Diner en Blanc International” but rather Project Beauty Share; a non-profit organization serving women in the Inland Northwest.

How is This Event Different from the “Diner en Blanc” Events Held on Six Different Continents?

Traditionally, the location of a “Diner en Blanc” is only revealed at the last minute and the event is by invitation only – leaving many community members not “on the list” left out. “Diner en Blanc” events also require guests to bring their own food, linens, plates and table décor.

Everyone is welcome at Spokane’s Evening en Blanc and guests merely need to buy their tickets. Hauling dishes or wine bottles across town is not necessary. Instead guests will be treated to a stunning white tablescape, an upscale picnic dinner, a silent auction and entertainment.

Do I Have to Wear All White?

Guests outfitted in their sleek, flirty, elegant or outrageous all white outfits create some of the visual splendor of Evening en Blanc. We’re encouraging guests to have fun planning an all white outfit that stands out from the crowd.

Why All White?

We like to think Project Beauty Share helps give women a fresh start as they are transitioning from addiction to recovery, or from welfare to school or work. We love the idea that white symbolizes that fresh start.

What is Project Beauty Share?

This brand-new, exciting evening is a signature fundraiser for Project Beauty Share, a local non-profit organization that collects personal hygiene products and cosmetics and distributes them through more than 50 local non-profit agencies who serve women and families overcoming abuse, addiction, homelessness, illness and poverty.
